She was born into the nation of Panem located in what was once known as North America. Her amazing story takes place in not so far, but brutal future When Panem took control, they created the Hunger Games. It is supposed to by an annual reminder of authority and punishment for rebellion. Every one of 12 districts has to choose a boy and a girl to participate in the Hunger Games. All of the 24 participants fight to the death in arenas, until there is only one left. The toughest one. Katniss was forced to learn her outstanding hunting skills in order to provide food for her family in these hard times. She had no idea, how important her skills will be   in the future. She was chosen to be the part of the 74th hunger games This is what her resume would look like after her survival in the brutal Hunger Games.
